For example, drive to the city of Palma de Mallorca for culture, art, shopping and sights and enjoy the excellent gastronomy of Majorca’s capital. Numerous small villages spread all over the island are worth a visit: Sineu with its famous market, Deià, Fornalutx and the other mountain villages amidst Serra de Tramuntana enchant with their incredibly beautiful location and atmosphere, this list can be continued and continued… As you see, there is plenty to do and discover during a holiday in CAN MOIO. CAN MOIO is perfectly situated in the centre of the island which allows easy access to the marvellous virgin beaches (the ‘calas vírgenes’). Within only 20 minutes by car you can reach the beaches of Es Trenc, listed as a natural protected area, Es Carbó, Ses Covetes and Sa Ràpita, all known for their fine white sand and turquoise waters. Also the beaches of Santanyí are only about 20 min. by car away: Cala Llombards, Es Caló des Moro or Cala Mondragó. There are small, secluded bays for those seeking peace and quiet and famous beaches that are the perfect choice for those who want to be active. For example, try surfing, stand-up paddling, or snorkelling or rent a boat and explore the coastline of Majorca. We know our beaches very well and will surely recommend the one that fits best to you. We can provide you with beach towels and a parasol.

Just a few kilometres from hotel CAN MOIO, some of the finest options for playing golf on the island can be found. The golf course San Gual is within easy reach (10 km). We will be happy to arrange your green fees.

Thanks to its mild climate, the island of Mallorca is a paradise for cyclists. For both amateurs and professionals alike, there are numerous routes permitting the landscape to be explored, particularly in spring and autumn. With prior notice we can offer a range of bicycles for our guests (classic bicycles, mountain bikes and e-bikes). Directly from Montuïri you can start lovely trails to explore the region Pla de Mallorca by foot. If you prefer we can organise guided expeditions. Don’t forget that the fantastic mountains of Serra de Tramuntana (UNESCO World Heritage Site) are close – you’ll love their nature and impressive rock formations and there are amazing trails for beginners and pros..

The village of Montuïri offers an artistic and cultural heritage and is definitely worth a visit with its authentic Majorcan flair. On Mondays, the weekly market takes place, your opportunity to try and buy local specialties. For those fascinated by history, we highly recommend a visit of the talaiotic village of Son Fornés, whose archeological remains are considered some of the most important in the world. So many wonderful sites are within easy reach from boutique hotel CAN MOIO – too many to list them here. • Weekly market in Sineu || Every Wednesday from 8 am to 1 pm
• Los Cossiers Montuïri || Traditional dances on the day of Mary’s Assumption and the Day of Bartholomew the Apostle (August 15, 23 and 24).
• La Feria de la Perdiz || The first Sunday in December, this fair takes place in Montuïri with numerous cultural events, concerts, all kinds of local delicacies and crafts.
